Xandranamaskar (Moon Salutation)

Warming up the body is easy but not enough. The fluid progression of XandraNamaskar has a deeper purpose: awakening the intelligence of the body. This requires systematic mobilisation of the motor muscles through a gradual and progressive development of movement and action. The progression of movement and action from the obvious to the subtle joints allows mind to quieten, clarify and deeply internalise.
Xandranamaskar (moon salutation) is the basic sequence of the dynamic yoga training method and from the core movements a nearly infinite number of variations is possible. In this workshop we will explore and integrate the sequence of the core movements of Xandranamaskar in order to clarify the practice and eventually become more confident towards establishing a personal practice.
Suryanamaskarvinyasa (towards the Sun Salutation)

The power of Suyranamaskar to awaken the body rests on its ability to accommodate its vulnerabilities: the joints. Departing from the soft quality of Xandranamaskar we will move towards the more energetic quality of Suryanamaskar exploring back and forward bends, straightening the legs with integrity and other aspects during our journey. Some days you feel more energetic your body asking for something more, here you will learn how to respond to this need without loosing integrity and more importantly without injuring yourself.
Pranayama (in stillness and in movement)

Deep release, deep freedom are not possible while the breath remain subject to the power of habit and intention, however unconscious. Classical Pranayama is the art of deep release into genuine freedom through intimacy with the breath. This workshop will focus on releasing the breath from all effort, intention and habit, so that mind also can let go of its need to control into its deeper ability to enjoy.
We will explore the subtlety of Svaramukta Pranayama and its progressive lenses applied to stillness and to movement. How to make your posture practice also a Pranayama practice to maybe finally allow your breathing to flow as freely and spontaneously as possible by way of giving it back to the intelligence of your body.
All workshops are suitable for all levels. Workshops are progressive but each of them is complete in itself so that can as well be visited as individual workshops.
Practicing yoga since he was 10 years old, Sergio is a fully qualified (E-RYT 200 RYT 500) Hatha Yoga teacher and Dynamic Yoga teacher (400 hr) which he continues to learn under its developer Godfrey Devereux. Sergio currently lives in Paris where he teaches dynamic yoga and manages the studio at the charming Red Earth Centre. Sergio also is a part of the team of teachers of the Teacher Training at B.Yoga Basel.
